2.7 Test Printing

Print a test pattern to confirm that the ink prints correctly. Perform head cleaning if you observe any print
defects (e.g., nozzle clogging, deflection).
• Was the print head adjusted?
• Is media loaded?
• Load media at least 500 mm wide. You cannot print the entire pattern if media less than 500
mm wide is used.
• Select [Maintenance] > [Nozzle Recovery] > [Test Print], then select "ON" to perform nozzle
recovery and test printing.
Registration is required to perform nozzle recovery.

Changing the Layout Direction for Test Printing

You can change the layout direction for test printing.
Scan Dir.
Feed Dir.

On the LOCAL mode screen, select [TEST PRINT/CLEANING] > [Test Print], then press the
[ENTER] key.
• The Test Print menu is displayed.

Select "Scan Dir." or "Feed Dir.", then press the [ENTER] key.
• Test printing starts.
