13 Maintenance

13-1 Battery replacement

You will need: a Philips screwdriver
Replace when: "BATTERY ERROR" is displayed.
CR Coin Lithium Battery contains

Others, consult local environmental
officers. (U.S.A. ONLY)
The battery works to back up the date and time setting.
When the battery voltage drops, "BATTERY ERROR"
or "TIMER ERROR" will be displayed. When this is
displayed, replace the battery.

Always turn the power switch off and

unplug the power cord from the outlet
before replacing parts.
Remove the screws that fix the control unit and

open it. The button-cell battery is located at the
rear side of the control unit.

When removing the button cell battery from the
battery case, push the battery further in toward
the back before pushing it upward to remove it.
When inserting the button cell battery, insert
the battery so that the plus (+) side faces
upward in the battery case and that the case and
the battery lie parallel to each other. If the
battery is not level when inserting, it will not
insert properly.

After replacing the battery, "TIME ERROR"
will be displayed. Adjust the date and time as
they will be initialized.

If the error 90 or 91 is displayed

even after replacing the battery and
adjusting the date and time, the
electric board damage may be
suspected.

Removing the battery:
Insert further
CR2032
into the back
before lifting it
up.
