Set tension spring
Hook the spring on the load cell axis and the jig.
Set the tension spring straight as much

as possible.

When the spring is set correctly, press the
button.
The display shows the following screen and the
grip base starts moving slowly. The grip base
stops at the starting position of the inspection
(5mm), somewhat extending the spring. The
load at this point is deemed as 0.0N
The offset that will cause the measurement
Caution
error is removed at this point. Please do
not touch the tension spring. It will affect
the result of daily inspection.

After a few seconds, the inspection starts
automatically. The grip base travels for another
10mm and stops. The display shows the load
measured at this position.
Press the
return to the menu screen.
TIPS
The inspection spring has been designed
and produced to have the spring constant
of 1.32N/mm with tolerance of ±4%. Check
that the inspection result is within this
range. In case the result is far apart from
this figure, it is possible that the load cell is
malfunctioning. Contact Van der Stahl for
support.
TIPS
Each machine has different standard value
for daily inspection. Please refer to the
Inspection Certificate included in the
machine, and confirm the displayed load is
within the tolerance of ±0.2N.
