How to use the specimen setting gauge
By using the specimen setting gauge, it will be easier to
insert the specimen to the thin-film grips. Please note
that the specimen setting gauge is not suitable for the
highly flexible materials.
The specimen setting gauge is mounted to the
jig used when the grip distance is 25mm at the
time of factory shipment. When the grip
distance is set 10mm, remove the 25mm jig by
removing the screw on the back side of it. Fix
the specimen setting gauge to the 25mm jig
when the grip distance is set 25mm.
Insert the specimen to the specimen setting
gauge as in the right illustration.
Hold the specimen setting gauge and insert the
specimen to the thin-film grips.
While holding the specimen setting gauge, push
down the levers to clamp the specimen with the
grips.

lever on the measurement side, be
careful not to apply the load to the
sensor measurement axis as it may
break the sensor.
