Carefully lubricate the inside and out-
side of the O-ring (O) and mount it on
the piston.
Reassemble the individual components
in reverse order.
Possible causes
Tip not seated tightly
Seal contaminated
Seal or cone is damaged
Piston is contaminated or dam-
aged
Shaft is clogged
Filter contaminated on 2 ml, 5
ml or 10 ml instruments
(to the over-stroke point) before
aspirating
Piston is contaminated or not
greased
Corrective action
Only use high-quality tips
Firmly press tip on
Clean seal
Replace seal or shaft
Clean or replace piston
Clean shaft
Change filter
Ensure proper handling.
Clean piston and apply grease
