Web camera function

You can use this unit as a web camera by connecting it to equipment
such as a personal computer using a commercially available USB cable.
This unit conforms to USB Video Class/USB Audio Class. By employing
communication software, for example, it is possible to transfer the
images and audio from this unit to equipment such as a personal
computer.
• Either set [USB Mode] in the OSD menu to [On] (→ page 55) or set
[Streaming mode] in the web screen to [USB] (→ page 89).
• For connection instructions, refer to "System example 6 (USB
connection)" (Installation Instructions: page 24).
• Audio can be output via the AUDIO IN connector [AUDIO IN] of this
unit to equipment such as a personal computer.
<NOTE>
• Operation is not guaranteed on all equipment that has USB jacks.
• It is possible to use a LAN cable to simultaneously use this function, IP
control, and PoE+ power supply.
• IP video transmission is not possible during transmission of video via
USB.
z Functions that can be controlled
The functions that can be controlled when using as a web camera are
shown below.
• The function names shown are those shown in a Windows
environment. The values are given as decimals.
• [ ] indicates the display in English documentation.

Adjusting images [Video Proc Amp]

Brightness [Brightness]
The settings can be made using the same procedure as [Picture
Level] in the camera menus and web settings.
Setting ranges: –50 to +50
• If all of the following have been set, then control is not possible.
– [Iris Mode] is [Manual]
– [Shutter Mode] is other than [ELC]
– [Gain] is other than [Auto]
– [Frame Mix] is other than [Auto]
Contrast [Contrast]
Not supported on this unit.
Hue [Hue]
The settings can be made using the same procedure as [Chroma
Phase] in the camera menus and web settings.
Setting ranges: – 31 to +31
Saturation [Saturation]
You can set the function equivalent to [Chroma Level] in the camera
menus and web settings.
Setting ranges: Off, – 99% to +99%
Sharpness [Sharpness]
The settings can be made using the same procedure as [Master
Detail] in the camera menus and web settings.
Setting ranges: –31 to +31
• This cannot be controlled when [Detail] is [Off].
Gamma [Gamma]
Not supported on this unit.
White balance [White Balance]
You can set the functions equivalent to [White Balance Mode] and
[Color Temperature] in the camera menus and web settings.
• [White Balance Mode] can be set as [ATW] when you engage the
automatic mode. [White Balance Mode] is set as [VAR] when you
cancel the automatic mode.
• The color temperature is set to 2000K to 10000K in [VAR].
• It is not possible to control the color temperature when in the
automatic mode.
• It is not possible to set to a white balance mode other than [ATW]/
[VAR]. Use the camera menu of this unit or the web settings.
• If USB connection is used with a white balance mode other than
[ATW]/[VAR], the white balance mode other than [ATW]/[VAR] is
maintained as long as there is no change made to the automatic
mode.
Backlight compensation [Backlight Comp]
Backlight compensation settings can be made using the same
procedure as [Back Light COMP.] in the camera menus and web
settings.
Setting values: 0 (Off), 1 (On)
Gain [Gain]
Image gain adjustment settings can be made using the same
procedure as [Gain] in the camera menus and web settings.
Setting ranges: 0 to 43
• Equivalent to Auto/0dB to 42dB.
• If the shooting mode (Scene) is set to [Full Auto], changes to this
setting are not reflected on the unit.
Using color [Color Enable]
Not supported on this unit.
Power line frequency (flicker compensation)
[Power Line Frequency (Anti Flicker)]
The settings can be made using the same procedure as [Flicker
Suppression] in the camera menus and web settings.
Setting values: Off, On
