It is controlled by the Elix Clinical system. It also has a manually override which can be used to directly feed the Q-Gard TL Polisher Pack in case of a problem with an internal component.

    Using the System Chapter 3 U SING THE SYSTEM OW TO FILL THE RESERVOIR ESERVOIR AND OOPS The Product Water from an Elix Clinical System is normally delivered to a reservoir. The Distribution Pump inside the system is used to pressurise stored water and to send it to the analyzer. The water from the Loop that is not used by the analyzer is returned back to the Reservoir.

    Using the System A storage reservoir is connected to the Elix via a reservoir level sensor. The level sensor detects the water level in the reservoir whenever it is empty or full of water. When the storage reservoir is full of water, the Elix Clinical System goes from PRODUCTION Mode to TANK FULL Mode. It automatically stops producing water.

    NSTALLING THE NEW ROGARD Remove the new Progard TL from its shipping box. Verify the Millipore SAS Catalogue Number by looking at the sticker on  the side of the Progard TL. Remove the plastic covers on the 4 ports of the Progard TL Pack. Look inside the ports to locate the black rubber O-rings.

    Cleaning Port Kit as a separate item. See Section 6-2. It is recommended to have a Millipore SAS Field Service Representative install the Cleaning Port Kit. The installation of the Cleaning Port Kit involves removing the cover of the Elix Clinical System. The instructions for installing the Cleaning Port Kit are not included in this manual.
  • Page 40 Maintenance Make sure the Cleaning Port Cap is tightened after putting in the Cleaning Pouch. ATTENTION Additionally, make sure that the RO Reject Tubing is in a sink or drain. Make sure it is fastened securely in place. The Cleaning Pouch will form a strong chemical solution when mixed with water. HAZARD This solution can be dangerous for your eyes and your skin.

    Appendixes PPENDIX MERGENCY The Elix Water System has a by-pass inlet port used in emergency procedure. This port connection guides the feedwater flow directly through the Q-Gard TL Polisher Pack. The Analyzer can still request purified water from the Elix.     Appendixes PPENDIX AINTENANCE The Daily Maintenance and Data Log sheet can be used to record various operating parameters of the Elix Clinical System. It is recommended to record the parameters after at least 3 to 5 minutes of operation. Additionally, it is recommended to operate the Elix Clinical System for the same amount of time every time values are recorded.
