Powering the accessory

ou may choose to connect your Playtime Playground to the accessory terminals on your

transformer, to an Accessory Power Wire (available separately 6-12053), or a Lionel

Lockon (available separately, 6-62900).

If connecting to your transformer or a Lionel Lockon, make sure that the two wires

included with this accessory are stripped back 1/4" to 3/8".

To strip the wires, use a pair of wire strippers. Only an adult should perform

this task! Always use care when stripping wires.

As illustrated in Figure 1, attach a wire to each of the spring clip terminals on the

accessory, then connect the wires to the accessory terminals on the power supply or to the

spring clip terminals on the Lockon.

To make the spring clip terminal connections, press down on the top portion of the spring

clip so that a metal loop is exposed. Slide the bare end of the wire into the loop, then release

pressure on the spring clip.

If connecting your accessory to FasTrack, attach the Accessory Power Wire spade terminals

to the underside of one straight section of track. Connect the bare ends of the wire to the

spring clip terminals of your accessory.

Note!

For proper operation, set the accessory on a flat, level surface.
