Screw Terminals for the Junction Blocks

4.2.1
The terminal screws are slotted screws that can be turned with a 0.3 x 3.5 or 0.6 x 3.5 screwdriver. The tighte-
ning torque for all terminal screws is 0.4 Nm to 0.5 Nm and 1.2 Nm for all grounding screws.
The following screw connections are available (see
Junction block for the signal line
Junction block for the signal Life Contact
Junction block for the auxiliary voltage V
Strip the insulation from the connection wires at a length of 9 mm, guide them into the screw terminal as far
as they will go and secure them in such a way that they cannot be pulled out again when they are being
fastened into place. After screwing them on, check that the connections are fitted properly.

Voltage Connections

NOTE
i
i
Connect a suitable disconnecting device upstream to de-energize the device.
Install the disconnecting device near the device and secure it with a 6-A fuse. The disconnecting device
must be easily accessible to the user and marked as a disconnecting device for the device.
Use the following cables:
Solid conductors or stranded-wire conductors for cross-sections from 0.2 mm
with AWG 14 to 24
Stranded-wire conductors with bootlace ferrules for cross-sections from 0.25 mm
dance with AWG 16 to 23
NOTE
i
i
Use copper conductors only.

Signal Connections - Line

Direct Connection
Use the following cables:
Solid conductors or stranded-wire conductors for cross-sections from 0.2 mm
with AWG 14 to AWG 24
Stranded-wire conductors with bootlace ferrules for cross-sections from 0.25 mm
dance with AWG 16 to AWG 23
If a stranded-wire conductor is used with a smaller cross-section (min. AWG 26), the connection to the screw
terminal must be established using an appropriate aid (bootlace ferrule).

FO Connections
