Causes for Defects/Remedy

The following table shows causes for defects during commissioning and potential remedial measures.

Cause
Both CC-CO are in Secondary
Unit Mode.
The line is interrupted.
The line is unsuitable (large
length, large attenuation,
small core cross section).
Both CC-CO are in Main Unit
Mode.
No connection could be
established.
The protection device does
not have a valid payload.
The LEDs are faulty.
The relay is faulty.
Check
Check the jumper position
for the main unit and secon-
dary unit.
Check the loop by bridging
the end of the line.
Check the length, cross-
section, and attenuation.
Check the jumper position
