2-Speed Disassembly/Assembly
1. Perform steps 1 through 7 of Common Drive Control
Service earlier in this section.
2. Remove the capscrew (D, Figure 13) and Quadrant
(E).
3. Remove the lower rod (D, Figure 12) from the trans-
mission (E) and upper rod (A).
4. Remove the four capscrews (B, Figure 13) and nylon
bearing halves (C).
5. Remove the upper rod (A).
Assemble in reverse order of disassembly

Speed Pedal Disassembly/Assembly

1. Remove the two capscrews (A, Figure 14) attaching
the foot pedal (B) to the foot pedal weldment.
2. Remove the cotter pin (K) and washer (J) from the
pedal to lever rod (I), then disconnect pedal lever rod
from the control arm (G).
3. Remove the roll pin (H) from the control arm (G).
4. Slide the foot pedal weldment (E) out from the frame
and control arm(G) while paying attention to where
the washers (F) were placed to be sure they are
placed in the same location during assembly.
5. Remove bushings (L) and inspect for wear or cracks,
replace if necessary.
Assemble in reverse order of disassembly.
