10. Disconnect the throttle/choke control cable assembly
(C, Figure 12) from the dashboard (A) by removing
the screws (B).
11. Lift the dashboard (A, Figure 13) off of the tower
assembly (B).

Dashboard Replacement

1. Set the dashboard (A, Figure 13) on the control tower
assembly.
2. Reconnect the throttle/choke control cable assembly
(C, Figure 12) to the dashboard (A) securing with the
screws (B).
GAS MODELS
3. Insert the parking brake rod (A, Figure 10) through
the parking brake cam and secure using the clip (B).
DIESEL MODELS
4. Insert the parking brake rod (A, Figure 10) through the
dashboard and reinstall the knob and nut (D and C).
ALL MODELS
5. Reconnect the throttle and choke cables.
6. Reconnect the wire harnesses to the following electri-
cal components (see Figure 11):
A. Ignition Switch
B. PTO Switch
C. Headlight Switch
D. Mower Cutting Height Switch (Make sure the black
dot on the connector plug faces right.)
E. Dashboard Display
7. Set the steering tilt assembly (A, Figure 14) back on
the tower assembly. Pay special attention to aligning
the steering pump shaft (C) with the slot (B) in the tilt
assembly (A).
8. Secure using the original flange nuts (C, Figure 9).
9. Reconnect the negative (-) battery cable (see Section
7, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SERVICE).
