A. Negative Cable – Battery Connection

12. Connect the engine electrical harness at the main
harness connector (E, Figure 19).
13. Connect the negative battery cable (C) to the front
engine cover. Connect the positive battery cable (D)
to the starter solenoid.
14. Connect the positive battery cable (B) to the battery.
Connect the negative battery cable (A) to the battery.
15. Replace the engine oil and filter, and provide any
additional services as listed in the Regular
Maintenance Schedule for the tractor (refer to
Section 3, MAINTENANCE).

16. Adjust the engine throttle and choke cables for proper
operation (Refer to your Kohler Engine Operator
Manual or contact your Kohler Engine Distributor for
specific information on the adjustment of the Kohler
Command 20 HP and 25 HP Models).
17.Install the hood (refer to Section 14, HOOD, DASH &
FOOT REST SERVICE).
