Printing on
Different Types of
Media
5 Open the multipurpose tray.
6 Adjust the media guides
to the correct width.
Make sure the guides aren't
too tight, so the envelopes
don't buckle.
7 Slide the envelope stack
into the printer as far as it
will go, with the print side
facing up and the flap on
your right.
8 Use the Windows printer driver to select Standard printing
and any other printing options you want.
9 Send the print job.
10 Open each flap immediately after the envelope passes
through the printer, before the seal cools.
» Note: Because the envelopes pass through heated rollers, the
gummed area on the flaps may seal. After opening them and
allowing them to cool, you may then reseal them in the usual manner.
Using envelopes with emulsion-based glue avoids this problem.
Postcards and Thick Stock
Your printer supports printing postcards and thick stock only from the
multipurpose tray (up to 10 sheets).
Special Considerations

Use only 24 to 42 lb (90 to 157 g/m

Adjust the multipurpose tray guides to fit the media size.

Load the postcards or thick stock short edge first with the printing
surface up.
