Fan Headers
headers (Fan1 ~ Fan5). These fans
have 4-pin fan headers. Pins 1-3 of
the fan headers are backward com-
patible with the traditional 3-pin fans.
However, the fan speed control set-
ting in the BIOS Hardware Monitoring
section will only work with 4-pin fans.
This allows the BIOS to automatically
set fan speeds based on the system
temperature. Refer to the table on the
We recommend that 4-pin fans are
used on the motherboard.
Speaker
On the JD1 header, Pins 6~7 are used
for internal/external speaker. Close
pins 6~7 with a cap to use the onboard
speaker. If you wish to use an external
speaker, attach the external speaker
cable to pins 6~7 instead. See the
