External applications

External exhaust flap

External hardware is connected via the Miele XCI Box.
The time delay between the external exhaust-air flap's activation point and the switch-on
time for the drum/fan motor is regulated.
A message appears in the display while the exhaust-air flap is open.
- Factory default: Off
This option must always be selected if there is no exhaust-air flap to activate. This pre-
vents the program from being canceled.

Additional fan

External hardware is connected via the Miele XCI Box.
If an extra fan is connected, it must be switched on at the same time as the drive unit.

Pressure sensor

External hardware is connected via the Miele XCI Box.
When using a shared exhaust-air duct, one tumble dryer may have to be switched off or
suppressed from the outset if certain pressure levels have built up in the ducting. Be-
cause the pressure sensor is an external unit, there is the option of reading in both a logi-
cal normally open contact or a normally closed contact.
A message appears in the display while the exhaust-air flap is open.
