Ver. 1.00 Manual Overview This document describes the differences between the Enfora Enabler II-G triple and quad band (GSM0107 and GSM0108) modems as they compare to the Enfora Enabler II-E EDGE (EDG0108) modem. This document describes the hardware interface differences between the platforms as to streamline the process of migrating solutions to the Enabler II-E EDGE technology.
Introduction 2.1 General Comments If you are integrating the GSM0107 or GSM0108 for the first time, please refer to the Enfora Enabler II-G Triple-Band Radio Modem Integration Guide GSM0107IG001 or Enfora Enabler II-G Quad-Band Radio Integration Guide GSM0108IG001 documents respectively. If you are integrating the EDG0108 for the first time, please refer to the document Enfora Enabler II-E Quad-Band Integration Guide EDG0108IG003.
Transition Guide Ver. 1.00 2.1.3 Mounting Differences The mounting hole that existed on the GSM0107/GSM0108 is no longer present on the EDG0108. The solder tab positions on the EDG0108 are backward compatible with the GSM0107/GSM0108. 2.1.4 Interface Pin-out Differences The following table provides differences between the existing GSM0107/0108 modules and the new EDG0108 platform.
