2. Function Outline
Guidance and system alarm are the targets of the monitoring group, too.
Signal category is established in the guidance as well as the process tag.
Monitoring ON/OFF is set in the alarm monitoring group for the station unit, also.
The following items are set in the alarm monitoring groups:
 Signal category table
 Station table

Operation mode

The operation mode is the operation level of the screen. There are the four operator modes.
Lock mode
Operator mode
Supervisor mode : The mode for important operations of the process and system.
Engineer mode
The operation modes can be set individually for each screen and parameter. The relation between
the main operation modes and the set operation modes is shown in Table 2.5.

User group

The OIS-DS/SMART allocates an "Alarm Monitoring Group" and "Operation Mode" with each
user of Windows to monitor the process and system.
When an operator logs on, the OIS-DS/SMART starts monitoring the process and system
depending on the alarm monitoring groups and operation modes allocated to the user.

operation.
: The steady operation mode during steady operation of
the process and system.
: The mode to maintain the system.
