PLEASE NOTE: If the ignition is turned on while extending a wire harness that includes airbags, this may cause the airbag light to stay on following the installation. ADAPT SOLUTIONS CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR FAULTY WIRE EXTENSIONS. Please use caution during the installation.
BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION: Make sure the steering wheel adjustment is fully UP and IN to allow maximum clearance for the driver seat. When installing the LINK with hand controls, hand controls should be installed after the LINK. 1. Remove the driver side OEM seat and place it on a workbench or table. To do this, start by disconnecting the seat belt from the side of the seat.
Page 8
2. Remove all the plastic trims off both sides of the seat. 3. Disconnect and remove the seat belt pre-tensioner, and the seat belt receiver from either side of the seat. LINK Silverado|Suburban|Tahoe|Sierra|Yukon|Escalade 2014 & 2018 |Driver FRONT p. 4...
Page 9
4. Unbolt the seat back from the seat base. To do this, disconnect the seat back wiring connectors and remove the hooks that keep the fabric flap in place. Then, remove the bolts on either side to remove the seat back. 5.
Page 10
6. Remove the wire cushion support, (on some models the support is made of plastic) and the seat pan. Be sure to detach the wire harness from the seat pan. NOTE: In some models, the seat pan is spot welded onto the seat base. If this is the case, use a drill to remove the 6 spot welds to free the seat pan from the base.

10. Remove the seat position sensor from the seat base. Install it onto the provided bracket, # LK- SILC14L-06. Plug the seat position sensor back into the wiring harness. 11. Run the power from the battery to the LINK. To do this, thread the red power cable (+) under the doorstep molding and through the firewall.
Page 13
12. The wiring harness extension can now be made using the provided multibrand cable. Extend the OEM wire harness with the provided connectors and 18 gauge multi strand extension. For best results, extend one wire at a time. Test continuity of each wire through the extension to avoid errors. (If you wish to keep a record of your wire extensions for reference, you will find a lined sheet at the very end of this manual for that purpose.) The wiring extension will be routed out of the bottom left hand corner of the seat.

15. Connect auxiliary 12V power to the LINK and connect your Android tablet via Bluetooth. To do this, turn on the Bluetooth function of your Android tablet and connect the Bluetooth module (small, blue and white, 4 pronged connector) to the LINK pendant plug. Using the LINK IT application, go to ‘BYPASS’.
Page 18
17. Connect the LINK to the vehicle’s 12V power supply. Using the ‘BYPASS’ mode on the tablet, carefully use ‘PIVOT’ ‘TRAVEL’ and ’TILT’ to move the LINK out of the vehicle. Install the OEM wire cushion support and seat pan onto the LINK seat adapter using the two provided ½’’x 1’’ x 3/8 shoulder bolts.
Page 19
19. Place the seat wiring connectors near to the respective places, where they will be reconnected. Route the wiring over the top of rear round tubing at the left hand side of the seat adaptor. If the seat has a control box for the seat memory, it will have to be relocated, into the seatback. 20.
Page 20
22. If the vehicle is equipped with a fan in the seat base. The fan duct, in the seat cushion, must be modified to allow clearance. Turn the seat cushion over and locate the fan duct in the seat cushion. Trace around the outside of the vent.

Page 22
26. Install the provided bracket on the 2018 and up models, part # LK-SILC14L-07 using the provided machine screw. This will hold the provided replacement left hand side seat trim. 27. Attach the control box, and extended wire harness into the seat back and fasten it in place with zip Make sure to leave enough loose in the extension so that the LINK can exit the vehicle.
Page 23
28. Before re-installing the rigid seat back cover, the fabric flap (at the bottom) will have to be modified. Cut off the corners as shown. Then, drill 3 holes to receive zip ties. These must be attached up and under the seat onto the wire frame under the seat to prevent the fabric from protruding into any moving parts of the LINK.
Page 24
29. Reinstall the seat back cover. It is important that the seat back material be snug and tight, no loose ends or bulges. Use additional zip ties if required to secure any loose material. Properly doing this step will ensure that the fabric does not impede the LINK’s movements over time. 30.
Page 25
31. Run the extended seat switch harness down the side of the seat. Attach the pendant wire on the side, under the shroud and position it to come out between the seat back and seat cushion. Leave enough loose wire to be able to plug in and unplug the pendant and the Bluetooth module. The connector can be attached with Velcro under the modified shroud.
Page 26
33. Next, install the modified seat trim. Re-install the seat belt and the recline handle or reconnect the seat switches if applicable. 34. It is possible that the side trim, may be slightly loose. Depending on the seat model. If this is the case, drill a hole as shown below and attach the inside of the seat trim with a zip tie.
Page 27
35. Modify the right hand side seat trim. Cut along dotted line as shown in pictures. Then, cut off the point of the trim, reinstall onto the seat. 36. Reconnect the main harness plug to the floor connector. Install the supplied floor trim, part # LK-SIL14L-05 over the plug.
Page 28
38. Bring the LINK out to verify if the harness extension will follow the LINK in and out of the vehicle properly and that is it long enough for the entire travel of the seat. Attach the harness at the back of the seat and at the lower corner of the LINK as shown. 39.
Page 29
40. Now that the LINK is in its ‘HOME’ position, RESET the unit by pressing ‘CONFIRM RESET’. A screen will pop up to ask: ‘ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO RESET?’ Press ‘ACCEPT’. The LINK will emit two (2) audible beeps to confirm ‘RESET’, and will now be in reduced power mode.
Page 30
PLEASE NOTE: During your final inspection, while testing the LINK with a passenger seated on it, there is a possibility that the LINK will be travelling dangerously close to floor adaptors when it pivots out of the vehicle. If this is the case, we have provided four (4) shims part # LK-UNI-250. (Note: two shims may be sufficient;...
