10.2 Power Loss Recovery Mode

When an incubator experiences a sudden loss of power there is an increased chance of condensation building up in the
circulation system tubing. This mode helps to dissipate that buildup before it causes the sensors to fail
-
Conditions for entering mode: - Incubator must be without power for 45 minutes or longer. This includes first time
setup. Mode is automatically triggered after power is restored (after 45+ min outage). If less than 45 minutes have
passed incubator will enter normal Run mode.
-
When in Power Loss Recovery Mode:
o
Blocking solenoid will be turned "ON" which will bypass the CO2 and O2 sensors in the circulation system.
o
Both systems will be put in standby mode meaning they will not control or alarm while in this mode.
o
"Power Loss Recovery" shows in place of "RUN" in the main screen.
o
Heaters and Air Pump run as normal.
-
Once entered, this mode will run for 1 hour. A count down timer screen (seen below) can be found when pressing
the CO2 or O2 Diagnostics button in the Service Settings screen. It is also recorded in the event log.

10.3 Shutting down the Incubator

Prior to shutting down the Incubator open the inner and outer doors and remove the water pan.
Leave doors open for at least 5 minutes prior to shutting it off.
This will purge the chamber, circulating system and the sensors of humidity that could condense and cause faulty
readings when the Incubator is turned back on.
Be sure to empty the water pan prior to putting it back into the chamber if the Incubator is going to be shut off for any
length of time.
10.4 Automatic Filter Change Notification
The Capsule filter located in the Sensor Bay (see BCD- 18318 for location)
should be checked average every 2 years to see if it should be changed. The
Filter material is normally a white material. Discoloration of the filter
material is an indicator that it should be changed. Retro Fit Kit RF566 should
be ordered for the replacement filter. A timed notice triggers a Maintenance
Notification button in the Main Screen. Pressing the Maintenance Required
button produces a screen indicating that the date for filter life has expired.
