Chase offset trimming
While the unit is chasing and locking to the master, you can trim the chase offset in realtime.
<Note>:
You can trim the chase offset only when the unit is chasing an external machine
and locking to the master. In other conditions, you cannot execute the following opera-
tion.
1)
Use the [MENU] dial to select "Trim" and press the [ENTER/YES] key.
Initially, the subframe value flashes and you can now trim the offset value.
2)
Use the [MENU] dial to trim the offset value and press the [ENTER/YES] key to confirm
your setting.
You can set a value between "-59s **f 99sf" and "+59s **f 99sf" ("**" is one
smaller than the frame rate number).
<Notes>
• After trimming the value, do not forget to press the [ENTER/YES] key. If you do
not press the [ENTER/YES] key and exit the MENU mode, the trimming operation
is ignored and the value returns to the previous one.
• The trimming is reflected to the offset value shown on the screen.
Catch offset
Using the "Catch Offset" function, you can capture the current offset value between the in-
coming master time code and the playback time code, and set it to the chase offset value.
This function is available both during playback and while stopped.
1)
Use the [MENU] dial to select "Catch Offset?" and press the [ENTER/YES] key.
The current offset value when pressing the [ENTER/YES] key is set to the chase offset
value.
2)
Press the [STOP/HOME] key to exit the MENU mode.
