Important user information

The appliance is intended to be fitted in a
kitchen worktop or similar fixture. If you have
the requisite skills, you can fit the hob your-
self. However, the electrical connection must
be carried out by authorised specialist staff.

Requirements

To ensure proper operation, the following re-
quirements must be met:
– The appliance complies with heat protec-
tion class 'Y' (EC 335-2-6), which means
that only one side of the appliance is al-
lowed to be next to taller kitchen units or
walls. The built-in furniture must have cov-
erings and the adhesives used must be
heat-resistant (100 °C). If this is not the
case, this can lead to deformation or de-
tachment of the covering surface.
– The distance between the induction hob
and the extractor hood must be at least
760 mm.
– Do not install the induction hob directly
next to a refrigerator or freezer. This will
increase its energy consumption unneces-
sarily due to heat emission.
– You must leave at least 100 mm of free
space below the recess for ventilation pur-
poses. No heat-sensitive items (cabinets,
drawers etc.) should be found in this area.
Any side walls or drawers which are pres-
ent must be sawn out or dismantled ac-
cordingly.

Preparing food

To ensure proper operation, the following re-
quirements must be met:
– The worktop must be at least 30 mm thick
and at least 590 mm deep, must be hori-
zontal and level and must be sealed on the
wall side against overflowing liquids.
– The induction hob must be surrounded by
at least 50 mm of worktop on all sides.
– If the induction hob is separated from the
rest of the built-in unit by a horizontal fixing
plate, the space between the base of the
appliance and the fixing plate must be at
least 50 mm high.
– If the induction hob is separated from the
rest of the built-in unit by a vertical fixing
plate, the space between the wall and the
fixing plate must be at least 30 mm.
– At the back of the fixing plate, a square
opening with sides of at least 80 mm must
be cut out.
– If the induction hob is installed over an oven
with ventilation, the clearance between the
base of the appliance and the cover of the
oven must be at least 50 mm.
– At the front of the induction hob, there must
be an air outlet of at least 10 mm between
the induction hob and the oven or floor unit.
– Veneers, plastic coverings and adhesives
used must be heat-resistant up to 100 °C.
