Cleaning the induction hob
CAUTION!
Risk of burns!
Improper handling may lead to burns.
■ Prior to cleaning, switch off the hob
and allow to cool completely. Excep-
tion: You want to remove sugary or
starchy food residue, plastics or alu-
minium foil (see next page).

Risk of damage to property!
Improper use of the hob can cause
damage.
■ Do not use a steam cleaner to clean
the device. Steam could get through
cracks into live electrical components
of the hob and cause short-circuiting.
■ Do not use any harsh abrasive deter-
gents, scouring agents, abrasive pow-
der or steel sponges; they can scratch
the surface. This can destroy the glass.
■ Clean and maintain the hob regu-
larly with a special care product con-
taining a special impregnating oil
for glass hobs. Such products can be
found in specialist shops.
Slight soiling which is not burnt on
• Switch the appliance off.
• After it has cooled down, wipe off light dirt
with a damp cloth.
• If necessary, use a suitable cleaner and
wipe with clean water.
• Then dry the surface with a soft cloth to
prevent lime stains.
• You can easily remove light stains having
a pearlescent colour (aluminium residues,
such as from aluminium foil) using a com-
as
the
mercially available detergent that is spe-
cifically available for such cleaning.
• Vinegar is good for removing lime stains.
Hard, baked-on dirt
• Tough stains can be most easily removed
after cooling using a blade scraper. Spe-
cially designed cleaning products can
also be found in specialist shops.
• Finally, wipe the surface with a damp
cloth.
• Treat the appliance with a special care
product after cleaning.
