Extra Pump Accessory Pack
The Pre-Plumbed Slimline Cylinder comes as standard with a single circulation pump, for smaller installations
with the 5kW Ecodan
you increase the size of the system and hence the amount of resistance in the primary circuit one circulation

For situations such as these Mitsubishi Electric recommend an additional circulation pump is fitted in series with
the one factory fitted (for systems incorporating underfloor heating please see the advice in the main installation
manual). To ensure that fitting an additional pump is as straightforward as possible we have put together a 'plug
and play' installation kit.
The following instructions describe how
to connect this accessory pack.
• The circulation pump comes with valves
fitted and one compression fitting.
• The pump is fitted with the correct amount
of cable to reach the FTC4, the cable is
terminated with a colour coded male plug
connector, this connects to the
corresponding connector inside the FTC4
meaning no wiring is necessary.
• The factory fitted primary flow pipework
comes with a compression fitting fitted
as standard
• The pump should be connected here and
positioned in the same manner as the
factory fitted pump on the return pipework
• As with connection of the zone valve
accessory pack the pump has its own
colour coded plug factory fitted within the
FTC4 casing
• Simply route the pump cable through the cable
glands at the base of the FTC4 case and fit both
halves of the connector together
• Only operate the circulation pump(s) when the
system is filled
