Ecodan® Air Source Heat Pump
This guide has been produced in additional to the main home owner manuals. It will enable the end-user to quickly understand and
set-up the main functions of the unit. The Ecodan® unit is an air-source heat pump it is a highly efficient way of providing heating
and hot water for your home.
Although two modes are available with the Ecodan® unit (space heating and hot water), the hot water demand will always be met
first. The need for both services will vary from one home to another.
Thermostats and timers are used for timing purposes and supplied by the installer, they work in conjunction with the Mitsubishi
PAR-W21MAA controller. This is used for setting up the heating parameters during commissioning. The diagrams below show the
display features and keypad operation. Please note not all display features and buttons are used within this quick reference guide as
this is just used as a base to work from. For further explanation please refer to the main homeowners guide.

"Locked" indicator
Indicates that remote controller buttons
have been locked.
