CAUTION: Carefully separate the palm rest from the computer base to avoid damage to the palm rest.
11. Turn the computer over.
12. In the battery bay, use a plastic scribe to disengage the tabs on the palm rest.

13. Turn the computer over and open the display as far as possible.
14. Continue to disengage the tabs on the palm rest and remove it from the computer base.
