Installation

The accumulator tank must be installed in an upright
position. The three feet are height-adjustable.
All connections (including connections and holes that
are not used) must be insulated to minimise heat loss.

Pipe installation

Pipe installation must be carried out in accordance with
current norms and directives.
Connections XL1, XL2, XL10 and XL32 shall be sealed
with thread tape or flat O-ring.
The heating system's drain valve is installed on the drain
connection (XL10).
The drain valve for the hot water coil is installed on
connection (XL3)
The system where VPC 500/750 is installed must be
supplied with a safety valve of max. 6 bar (0.6 MPa) on
the cold water side and of max. 3 bar (0.3 MPa) on the
radiator side.
The overflow pipe must be the same size as the safety
valve's. Route the overflow pipe from the safety valve,
sloping along its entire length, and ensure that it is frost-
proof and well supported. The mouth of the overflow
pipe must be visible and not placed close to electrical
components.
Ensure that incoming water is clean.
If uncertain, contact a plumber alternatively see applic-
able standards.
Caution
Fit the cover discs before the pipe installation
is made.

CONNECTION
A safety valve must be installed on the cold water side.
There must be a mixing valve if the temperature can
exceed 60°C.
A 6 bar pressure reduction valve must be installed if the
pressure of the incoming cold water is higher than 6 bar.
VPC 500/750 can be docked with another heat source,
see
"Technical
SENSORS
VPC 500/750 can be supplemented with up to three hot
water sensors. These are placed in submerged tubes
for hot water sensor (UA1), (UA2) and (UA3).
Use the sensors provided with the heat pump (or other
heat source). When no heat sensors have been provided
these must be ordered from the manufacturer of the
heat source.
