Solutions
Make sure the path to the LAN/WAN
hub or switch is OK.
Check cables to the hub and make
sure connection is made properly.
Remove the DSL card from the slot
and reinstall the card into another slot.
Replace the DSL card.
Check that the Stack Position switch on
the base of the chassis containing the
MCP card is set to 1.
Check to see that the other cards and
filler plates in the chassis are properly
secured by the screws on the
faceplate. If you still experience
difficulty in seating the card, call
service.
Manipulate the card until it mates with
the connector.
Install the 8610 chassis with the MCP
card as the base chassis in the stack,
or perform the following procedure to
eliminate the alarm:
1. Connect to the 8610 chassis via the
serial port or a Telnet session.
2. Select E. Chassis Info from the
Hotwire Chassis menu.
3. Change the Chassis Model to 8610.
4. Press Ctrl-z.
5. Enter yes to the Save (yes/no)?
prompt.
6. Reset the line cards reporting the
alarm.
