4: INSTALLATION
7. Cut and remove the shipping straps securing the tool bag
to the pallet, which contains the following:
1100MX Cable Kit
l
BT30 gripper installation tool
l
Double open-end wrench: 13 mm/16 mm
l
Electrical cabinet key
l
Hex wrench set: 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm,
l
and 10 mm
Hook wrench (for spring stack)
l
Phillips screwdriver
l
Note: There are two spare fuses included with
the machine (2.5A, 5 × 20 mm, glass slow-
blow), which are taped to the inside of the
electrical cabinet.
8. Cut and remove the shipping strap securing the Y-axis
motor to the pallet.
9. Remove all packing materials from the spindle head.

4.7 INSTALL CORE COMPONENTS

After moving and unpacking the machine crate, you must
install the core components of the system. Complete the
following steps in the order listed:

4.7.1 Install the Y-Axis

4.7.2 Lift and Move the Machine
4.7.3 Install the Drip Guard
4.7.4 Install the X-Axis Motor Cover
4.7.5 Install the Controller
4.7.6 Install the Oiler
4.7.7 Verify the Installation
4.7.1 Install the Y-Axis
To reduce the risk of damage during shipment, we ship the Y-
axis motor disconnected from the machine and secured to the
pallet. You must install the Y-axis motor before removing the
machine from the pallet.
NOTICE! The Y-axis motor wires can't support the weight
of the Y-axis motor. To avoid property damage, carefully
move the Y-axis motor.
1. Remove the screws securing the Y-axis motor mount
cover with a 3 mm hex wrench. Then, set all items aside.

2. Loosen the two motor shaft coupling screws with a 4
mm hex wrench.

3. Remove the four M5 cap head screws, lock washers, and

washers from the Y-axis motor mount with a 4 mm hex

wrench. Then, set all aside.

4. Remove any paint bleed from the face and bore of the Y-
axis motor mount with a mild abrasive.
