The 3D LUT (Look Up Table) is a three-dimensional table that maps colors into different color spaces.
The SpectraView Engine inside this monitor allows complex color gamuts, such as those for color printers,
to be emulated on the monitor directly. For example, this allows print previews or cinematic or color grading
effects to be performed within the monitor itself.
This feature is used with supporting software. 3D LUTs are uploaded to the monitor via application
software.
ON:
Enables/Activates the 3D LUT function for the selected picture mode.
OFF:
Disables/Deactivates the 3D LUT function for the selected picture mode.
Compare:
In this mode, colors that lie outside the boundaries of the 3D LUT are shown in gray. It is
useful for determining out of gamut colors.
Previews various typical human vision deficiencies and is useful for evaluating how people who have such
deficiencies will perceive colors.
This preview is available in types:
P (Protanopia)
D (Deuteranopia)
T (Tritanopia)
Grayscale can be used for evaluating contrast legibility.
NOTE: Depending on the vision of the user, including those with color vision deficiency, there will be a
variation in how the screen's color is seen and experienced. A simulation is used to illustrate the view of
those with a color vision deficiency. It is not their actual view. The simulation is a reproduction of those
with a strong color vision mode of type P, type D or type T. People with a slight color vision deficiency will
experience little to no difference compared to those with normal color vision.
