Inserting / replacing the battery (Picture 8)
• Insert the battery (not included in the delivery) into the guide bar below the rear hand grip (2), until it clicks into place.
• To remove the battery, press the battery latch and slide the battery out of the handle.
Checking the battery status (Picture 9)
Notice: Use the battery charge status indicator to plan your work and/or to avoid deep discharge.
The battery is equipped with a charge level indicator, which displays an indication of the battery charge level.
• To check the charge level, press the battery charge level indicator button (A).
• The charge level is represented by three LEDs working as charge level indicator (B).
Notice: For detailed information on the battery and charger, please refer to the instruction manual of the charger (not included in delivery).
Filling the saw chain oil (Picture 10)
WARNING!
Remove the battery before carrying out any adjustments, maintenance or repair.
NOTE! The chainsaw should never be operated without oil.
Check the oil level before and during use via the oil level window (6).
• Open the screwing aid of the oil tank cap (5).
• Open the oil tank cap by turning it counter clockwise.
• Using the oil container, fill approx. 160ml of organic saw chain (may not be included in the scope of delivery) (10).
• Close the oil tank cap by turning it clockwise.
• Lock the screwing aid of the oil tank cap again.
Checking the hand guard (chain brake release) (Picture 11)
The chainsaw is equipped with a chain brake which is released using the hand guard. It allows you to manually block / release the saw chain.
Before using the chainsaw, the hard guard has to be locked in operating position.
Applying the chain brake
• Pull the hand guard 15 back to apply the chain brake.
Releasing the chain brake
• Push the hand guard forward to release the chain brake and lock it in operating position.
Operating Instructions
Switching ON /OFF (Pictures 12 - 13)
Notice: The chain brake is applied automatically if the hand guard touches an object
The bumper spikes (12) help to fix the motor block to the wood when sawing with the chain moving in. This makes it difficult to knock out the saw in an
uncontrolled manner.
Switching ON:
• Release the chain brake by pushing the hand guard forward (15).
• Hold the chainsaw firmly using the front handle (1) with your left hand.
• Hold the chainsaw firmly using the rear handle (2) with your right hand.
• Press and hold the lock button (3).
• Press and hold the ON/OFF switch (4).
• Release the lock button while keeping the on / off switch pressed.
Switching OFF:
• Release the ON/OFF switch.
• Operate the chain brake by pulling the hand guard back (15).

Maintenance, cleaning, storage and transport

WARNING!
Disconnect the mains plug of the charger and remove the battery of the chainsaw before making any adjustment, maintenance or repair.
Maintenance
Get your chainsaw serviced by a specialist at regular intervals.
Only use spare parts / accessories from the manufacturer or authorised and qualified workshops.
Repairs should only be carried out by qualified technicians or by an authorised service centre. Qualified technicians must have relevant training and experi-
ence, be familiar with the design and construction requirements of the product and understand and follow the safety regulations.
Keep your tool inserts always sharp and well greased. Sharpen / grease them always using a suitable tool as recommended by the tool insert manufacturer.
To change the saw blade and the saw chain, follow the instructions given in the chapter Mounting/ replacing the saw blade and saw chain.
Cleaning
CAUTION!
Make sure that liquids do not get inside the chainsaw.
Get your chainsaw cleaned professionally by a specialist at regular intervals.
• Clean the chainsaw with a moist cloth. Never use strong and / or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents. Allow all the parts to dry completely. Ensure that
