water does not get into the chainsaw.
• Clean the chainsaw from sawdust, dust and saw chain oil after each use.
• Ensure that the ventilation slots are not blocked and clean the housing of the chainsaw regularly with a soft cloth.
Storage
• Clean the chainsaw before storage.
If you want to store the chainsaw for extended periods, you have to rinse the lubrication system of the chainsaw using chainsaw cleaner.
• Fill the empty oil tank with 100 ml of chainsaw cleaner.
• Remove the chain and the blade.
• Allow the chainsaw to run till the chainsaw cleaner completely drains out of the oil tank.
• Mount the chain and the blade.
Fill the organic chainsaw oil again during the next use.
• Keep the chainsaw and its battery in a safe, dry and well-ventilated place, out of the reach of children when it is not being used.
• The tool and its battery may only be stored at an ambient temperature between
0°c and 40°c.
Transport
• Always mount the blade guard 9 before transport.
• Ensure that the oil tank cap 5 is firmly screwed to prevent oil leakage during transport.
• Use the original packaging and secure the chainsaw against shock and vibrations during transport.
• Always carry the chainsaw using the handle provided for this purpose.

Troubleshooting

Problem
The chainsaw is not starting
The saw chain is not running.
There is heavy sparking in the motor.
The chain is not lubricated.
Important: Please note, all repairs/service should be carried out by a qualified person.
Disposal
At the end of the machine's working life or when it can no longer be repaired, ensure that it is disposed of according to national regulations.
— Contact your local authority for details of collection schemes in your area.
In all circumstances:
• DO not dispose of power tools with domestic waste.
• DO not incinerate.
• Do not dispose of as unsorted municipal waste.
Warning!
• Do not put battery pack in fire or mutilate; cells may burst or release toxic materials.
• Do not short circuit cells, may cause burns.
• The battery pack must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped.
• The battery pack is to be disposed of safely.
• Do not mutilate batteries; corrosive electrolyte will be released.
• Do not dispose of batteries or cells in a charged condition.
Expired batteries must be recycled/disposed of in accordance with the appropriate regulation or legislation. They should be returned to your local warranty
agent/stockist.

Possible Cause
1) Battery empty

Remedy
1) Charge the battery.
2) Slide the battery into the guide on the handle of the chain-
saw. The battery has to click into place audibly.
Check the position of the hand guard. The chain saw runs only
when the chain brake is released.
Give the chainsaw to the repair shop or to a specialist work-
shop.
Clean the chainsaw as described in the chapter "Cleaning and
maintenance".
If these measures are not effective, hand over the chainsaw to
the customer service or to a specialist workshop.
