ELECTRIC STARTING SYSTEM
5. Measure:
D brush length a
Out of specification  Replace the brushes
as a set.
6. Measure:
D brush spring force free length a
Out of specification  Replace the brush
springs as a set.
7. Check:
D gear teeth
Damage/wear  Replace the gear.
8. Check:
D oil seal
Damage/wear  Replace the defective
part(-s).

2. Install:
D starter motor yoke 1
