4. Ignition spark gap
The following procedure applies to all of the
spark plugs.
D Disconnect the spark plug cap from the
spark plug.
D Connect the ignition checker

D Set the main switch to "ON".
D Measure the ignition spark gap
D Crank the engine by pushing the start switch
and gradually increase the spark gap until a
misfire occurs.

The following procedure applies to all of the
spark plug caps.
D Disconnect the spark plug cap from the
spark plug.
D Connect the pocket tester (Ω

D Measure the spark plug cap resistance.

6. Ignition coil resistance
The following procedure applies to all of the
ignition coils.
D Disconnect the ignition coil connectors from
the ignition coil terminals.
D Connect the pocket tester (Ω
ignition coil as shown.

D Measure the primary coil resistance.

D Connect the pocket tester (Ω

D Measure the secondary coil resistance.
