HDX™ Practitioner Cart Battery
Maintenance Best Practices
The Practitioner Cart comes with a 12VDC Sealed Lead Acid, Absorbent Glass Mat battery.
Polycom recommends that the following best practices be observed in order to optimize the
Practitioner Cart battery life. Keep this document with the Practitioner Cart for future reference.
• Before first use, the battery should be charged for a minimum of eight hours.
• Always use the same battery type (CSB) and model (EVX12520) in the Practitioner Cart. Do
not switch from one type of battery to another.
• During stationary operation and when not in use, the Practitioner Cart should always
be plugged into an AC wall outlet, keeping it fully charged and ready for use. Polycom
recommends that the Practitioner Cart be plugged into an AC wall outlet, charging the
battery as often as possible.
• Avoid running the Practitioner Cart on battery power for an extended period of time.
Draining the battery reduces its life and may result in premature battery failure.
Battery Charge LED Meter
As the battery's charge is depleted, the Battery Charge LED Meter will show the approximate
charge level. When all four LEDs are on, the battery is fully charged. When the rightmost LED
is blinking, the battery is still charging.
