Door Lock (A2)

The door lock is released by a Bowden cable.
The door lock has a reset switch (A2): open door = open switch contact.
Even if there is an open circuit in the line to the switch contact, the electronic
registers an open door. It then stops a drying cycle in progress.

Service

4.1

Door Assembly Removal

1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
2. Remove the front panel; see Section 010-4.3.
3. Open the door and remove the T20 screw securing each door hinge to
the back of the front panel.
4. Separate the door from the front panel.
4.2

Door Disassembly

1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
2. Remove the door assembly; see Section 020-4.1.
3. Lay the door, face down, on a mat or blanket.
4. Remove the T20 screw securing the locking plate to the door and take off
the locking plate.
5. Remove the T20 screws securing the hinges to the door (one each) and
take off the hinges.
6. Using a Phillips screwdriver, twist open the six retainers (one-quarter turn
counterclockwise) securing the inner door panel to the outer door panel
(see Figure 020-1). Separate the inner door panel from the outer door
panel.
