13.5 Doppler Measurements

The Doppler spectrum is displayed based on time (X-axis) and velocity (Y-axis).
Therefore the velocity is displayed at any point in the recording.
There are different methods of velocity measurement. These are the measurement of the accelerated
velocity, the velocity ratio between two points and the measurement of the average velocity using the
Manual- or the Auto Trace method.

Doppler measurements:

13.5.1
Accelerated Velocity
1. Select the [Velocity] item.
2. Use the trackball to move the cursor to the start of the measurement and press the right or left
trackball key [Set] to fix the marker. A second cursor appears.
3. Use the trackball to move the second cursor to the second point of the measurement and press
right trackball key again to fix the marker.
To re-adjust the start point, press the upper trackball key [Change] before completing the
measurement. It alternates the control from one cursor to the other.
Remarks:
The measurement results (such as the velocity of each point, the time between two points, the
pressure gradient and the accelerated velocity) appear on the monitor screen.
