6. The pump must never be driven against a closed discharge valve. Please make sure the
pressure at the discharge does not exceed the maximum pressure as indicated on the
nameplate of the pump. The installation of a pressure relieve valve is recommended.
Pay attention to circumstances that could indicate pump cavitation:
1. Low pressure in the suction line due to bad suction conditions.
2. Air in the suction inlet line.
3. Pumping temperature is too high.
4. Pump is oversized.
