    3.1 standards & regulatIons - Condensate dIsPosal Firebird condensing boilers, when in condensing mode, extract more heat from the flue products and the resulting condensate which is mildly acidic, needs to be drained from the boiler via a condensate pipe to the drainage system.

  • Page 10 BalanCed Flue BoIlers The Firebird boiler may be set for room-sealed flue operation using a Firebird condensing balanced flue kit. This kit does not draw combustion air from inside the room. It is drawn from outside, direct to the burner by an air pipe supplied with the boiler.
