Error message on the display

Error code
001 The reflected laser beam is too intense.
➜ Do not aim at highly reflective surfaces;
if required cover (e.g. with paper).
002 Measurement range exceeded.
➜ Take measurements within the range
of 0.1 to 60 m only.

Cause
➜ Remedy
The target aimed at reflects the laser beam not

enough. ➜ Aim at a different target; if required
cover (e.g. with white paper).
004 Temperature too high. ➜ Wait until operating
temperature (0 °C ... 40 °C) has been
reached.
005 Temperature is too low. ➜ Wait until operating
temperature (0 °C ... 40 °C) has been
reached.
006 Batteries too weak. ➜ Insert new batteries.
007 Strong vibrations or quick movement while
taking the measurement. ➜ Do not move
the measuring instrument while taking
the measurement.
008 Incorrect input for Pythagorean measurement.
➜ Observe the order of the displayed
measured sections.
Checking precision
It is recommended to check the device
regularly to ensure that it is always precise.
If the precision deviates from the permitted
tolerance range, the device must be taken
to a customer service workshop authorised
by the manufacturer.
