Set-up
Clean pool: the aquarium must be cleaned thoroughly with warm water and a soft, clean
sponge before installation.
Do not use any detergents!
Tip: Before setting up, perform a test fill and check that it is watertight.
Tip: EHEIM information booklets covering installation, plants and fish are available in
specialist retailers or at
D: Filling
The aquarium has been equipped with a "silent outflow shaft", developed by EHEIM.
The aquarium has been designed so that the water level remains constantly underneath the
side-mounted glass cross pieces / side-hung lighting.
When being filled up, the aquarium should be filled with water slowly. After the aquarium has
been filled with a sufficient amount of water, the water will begin to flow automatically through
the piping into the filter tank. Fill the filter tank with water up to the full level marking
Pay attention to the water level in the filter tank when filling the aquarium
D: Putting into operation / adjusting the water level
After the aquarium and the filter tank have been filled up with water, the feed pump can be
connected to the power network.
We recommend placing the necessary plug in the right-hand compartment.
After the aquarium has been put into operation, the water level in the outflow shaft  needs to
be adjusted once, using the tap  that is integrated into the outflow shaft. If the flowing
outflow water is backed up, it will prevent any annoying water outflow noises.
1.
Close the tap  completely (90 degree turn in clockwise direction)
2.
Wait until the water in the outflow shaft starts rising and then flows off through the
safety outlet hose 
3.
Open the tap  slowly step by step (turn in anti-clockwise direction) and observe the
effect on the water level (water level falls slightly or remains constant)
