 QoS: Click this button to adjust the QoS (Quality of Service) volume and it can help solve the
network delay and network congestion by configuring the priority of data sending the audio and
video and control command. The valid DSCP value ranges from 0 to 63. The DSCP value is
bigger, the priority is higher. Click Save to change the setting.
Make sure that you enable the QoS function of your network device (such as a router) and it
will ask for a reboot for the settings to take effect.
The following are the main benefits of a QoS-aware network.
The ability to prioritize traffic and guarantee a certain level of performance to the data flow.
The ability to control the amount of bandwidth each application may use, and thus provide
high reliability and stability on the network
Requirements for QoS
To utilize QoS in a network environment, the following requirements must be met:
■ All network switches and routers in the network must include support for QoS.
■ The network video devices used in the network must be QoS-enabled.
 UPnP: Click this button to enable the UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) function.
UPnP™ is a networking architecture that provides compatibility among networking equipment,
software and other hardware devices. The UPnP protocol allows devices to connect seamlessly
and to simplify the implementation of networks in the house and corporate environments. With
the function enabled, you don't need to configure the port mapping for each port, and the camera is
connected to the Wide Area Network via the router.
1. Check "Enable UPnP™ icon from settings interface.
2. Click Edit icon to select the Protocol and then entry the Internal/External Port.
