T h i s i s d u e to t h e fact that R o w B of t h e V M E b u s P 2 c o n n e c t o r i s b u s s e d to all c a r d s o n the
b a c k p l a n e . B e c a u s e t h e e v e n - n u m b e r e d X V M E - 6 8 2 v e r s i o n s u s e t h e P 2 c o n n e c t o r to send AT
s i g n a l s , t h ey c a n n o t s h a r e R o w B wi t h a 3 2 -bi t p r o c e s s o r e l s e w h e r e o n t h e backplane.
O n all versi o ns, the XT si g nal s travel on the u s e r-def i n ed I / O pi n s o n R o w s A & C of the
V M E b u s P 2 connector.
