This chapter describes how to install a new MERLIN LEGEND MAIL module.

Prepare for Installation

Before you begin, verify that you have:
the required MERLIN LEGEND MAIL system components
(see "System Components" in Chapter 1)
an installation site that meets the environmental requirements for
MERLIN LEGEND MAIL (see "MERLIN LEGEND MAIL System
Specifications" in Chapter 1)
the MERLIN LEGEND Communications system equipment required,
including
 a domestic release of the MERLIN LEGEND Communications System
that is functioning properly and has a 391A3 or newer power supply
module
 one available slot in the MERLIN LEGEND system carrier
