Note: The restore process should take 3-5 minutes to complete. To confirm the restore process
Rotary 977 - Clear and Restore froma USB Stick
Clear and restore with a USB stick containing a firmware file. The USB stick must contain only one
valid full firmware (.scfx) file, which has to be located at the root of the USB drive and not in any
folder. The Restore process will update the firmware and clear the controllers database. After a
successful 997 restore, the controller will be in a state as though it is a new controller. It is
recommended to be in contact with technical support before attempting this restore.
In the event the Symbio 210 becomes unresponsive or the red LED is flashing code 12 or 18, youcan
attempt to restore it by following the instructions below:
1. Power down the Symbio 210.
2. Set the rotary switches to 997.
3. Insert the USB stick containing only one full firmware (.scfx) file into USB port on controller.
4. Power up the Symbio 210.
5. The green LED will flash several different codes as it progresses through the restore process.
6. Set the rotary switches to the correct address and cycle power.
7. Once the controller finishes booting after the power cycle, the status LED should remain solid
