Rubber Buffers on
Handlebar
– Remove the outer handle tubes,

: Unscrew the locknuts (1) and
take out the screws (2)
– always install new locknuts.
– Remove both tubes with AV
housings from the handle frame.

: Open and remove the AV
housings (1).

– Use STIHL OH 723 press fluid to
simplify assembly, b 13
: Pull off the rubber buffers (1) and
stops (2).
– Inspect the AV housings, rubber
buffers and stops, replace if
necessary.
– Inspect the handle frame. If
necessary, remove engine and
replace the handle frame, b 7.1
Installing

– Use STIHL OH 723 press fluid to
simplify assembly, b 13

: Hold the stops (1) with the
recesses (arrow) facing the
center of the tubes (2), then push
them on as far as stop.

– Use STIHL OH 723 press fluid to
simplify assembly, b 13
: Hold the rubber buffers (1) with
the recesses (arrow) facing away
from the stops (2), then push
them on until they butt against the
stops (2).
