A m ism at ched incorrect ribbon/ m edia com binat ion is being used: Check t he t ypes being used.

The labels are incorrect ly loaded: See t he loading inst ruct ions on t he inside cover of t he print er, or
in Sect ion 2.3.
The m edia is not calibrat ed: Calibrat e it ( see Sect ion 3.7) .
The m edia sensor or sensor circuit ry m ay be defect ive: Call for service.
Th e r ibbon doe s n ot a dva n ce ( t h e pa pe r a dva n ce s, bu t r ibbon doe s n ot ) :
The ribbon m ay be inst alled incorrect ly: Ensure t hat t he inked side of t he ribbon faces t he labels.
Wit h m ost ribbons t his can be verified by rubbing paper against t he ribbon; t he ink should sm udge
t he paper. Or, if using label st ock, t he st icky side of a label will pull off t he ink.
A m ism at ched ribbon/ paper com binat ion is result ing in an insufficient am ount of frict ion bet ween
paper and ribbon: Ensure t hat t he correct t ype of ribbon is being used wit h t he m edia.
