Once you have inst alled t he DMXConfig ut ilit y:
1) Connect t he host t o t he print er wit h a
serial, parallel, or ( USB cable if driver is
inst alled) .
2) Turn ON t he print er and launch t he
DMXConfig ut ilit y.
3) Click on t he port or t he print er you wish
t o connect t o from t he list .
4) Query t he print er by using t he Query
Print er t oolbar but t on ( t op- left ) or t he
large 'Query' but t on in t he green box.
This w ill connect t o t he print er and get
t he current print er set t ings.
5) At t his point you m ay browse t he t abs
and m ake any changes necessary t o t he
print er configurat ion. Once com plet e,
send t he new set t ings t o t he print er
using t he Configure Print er t oolbar
but t on.
( The exam ple below illust rat es changing t he
Media Type set t ing t o Therm al Transfer.
Ot her param et ers can be changed using t his
procedure as well.)
6) Select t he Media Set t ings t ab t hen in
t he Media Type drop- down box select
Therm al Transfer.
7) Send t he set t ings t o t he print er using
t he Configure Print er t oolbar but t on.
The print er is now configured t o use
t herm al t ransfer m edia. You m ay close t he
DMXConfig ut ilit y and begin print ing using
ribbon.
