The   i ntended   u se   o f   t his   m agnetic   d rill,   i s   t o   d rill   h oles   i n   f errous   m etals.   T he   m agnet   i s   u sed   t o   h old  
the   d rill   i n   p lace   w hilst   t he   d rill   i s   f unctioning.   I t   i s   d esigned   f or   u se   i n   f abrication,   c onstruction,  
railways,   p etrochemical   a nd   a ny   o ther   a pplications   w hen   d rilling   f errous   m etal.    
Any   d eviation   f rom   i ts   i ntended   u se   w ill   n ot   b e   c overed   b y   w arranty.

Keep   w ork   a rea   w ell   l it   ( 500   L ux   r ecommended).  
Do   n ot   u se   t ools   i n   t he   p resence   o f   f lammable   l iquid   o r   g ases.  
Ensure   t here   i s   a dequate   s pace   t o   g ain   a ccess   t o   t he   p lug,   m ains   a nd   m otor   o n/off   s witches.

Guard   a gainst   e lectric   s hock:  
 
Avoid   b ody   c ontact   w ith   e arthed   o r   g round   s urfaces   ( e.g.   p ipes,   r adiators,   c ookers   a nd   r efrigerators).  
Electric   s afety   c an   b e   f urther   i mproved   b y   u sing   a   h igh-­‐sensitivity   ( 30   m   A /0.1s)   r esidual   c urrent   d evice  
(RCD).

Keep   o ther   p ersons   a way!   D O   N OT   l et   u ntrained   p ersons,   e specially   c hildren,   t ouch   t he   t ool   o r   t he   e xtension  
cord   a nd   k eep   t hem   a way   f rom   t he   w ork   a rea.

Store   i dle   t ools   w hen   n ot   i n   u se.   A ll   t ools   s hould   b e   s tored   i n   a   d ry   l ocked-­‐up   p lace,   o ut   o f   r each   o f   c hildren.

Use   t he   r ight   t ool;  
Do   n ot   f orce   s mall   t ools   t o   d o   t he   j ob   o f   a   h eavy   d uty   t ool.  
Do   n ot   u se   t his   t ool   f or   p urposes   n ot   i ntended:   e .g.   d o   n ot   u se   t he   m agnetic   d rill   t o   c ut   t ree   l ogs.

Dress   p roperly;  
Do   n ot   w ear   l oose   c lothing   o r   j ewellery;   t hey   c an   b e   c aught   i n   m oving   p arts.  
Non-­‐skid   f ootwear   i s   r ecommended   w hen   w orking   o utdoors.  
Wear   a   p rotective   h air   c overing   t o   c ontain   l ong   h air.   T his   w ill   r educe   t he   r isk   o f   e ntanglement.

Use   p rotective   e quipment   w hen   u sing   t his   m achine;  
Use   s afety   g lasses   t o   p revent   d ebris   f rom   d amaging   e yes.  
Use   e ar   d efenders   o r   e ar   p lugs   f or   h earing   p rotection.  
Use   f ace   o r   d ust   m asks   i f   c utting   o perations   c reate   d ust.  
Use   p rotective   g loves   t o   p revent   s warf   o r   d ebris   c utting   t he   s kin.    
10. When   u sing   t he   d rill,   a lways   e nsure   a   s afe   o perating   d istance   f rom   a ny   s warf   a nd   d o   n ot   r each   i nto   t he  
cutting   a rea,   o r   n ear   t he   c utter,   w hen   t he   m achine   i s   r unning.    
11. Connect   d ust   e xtraction   a nd   c ollecting   e quipment,   i f   d evices   a re   p rovided,   e nsuring   t hese   a re   p roperly  
connected   a nd   u sed.  
12. Do   n ot   a buse   t he   c ord;   n ever   p ull   t he   c ord   t o   d isconnect   i t   f rom   t he   s ocket.   K eep   t he   c ord   a way   f rom   h eat,  
oil   a nd   s harp   e dges.  
12.     Secure   w ork   w here   p ossible,   u se   c lamps   o r   a   v ice   t o   h old   t he   w ork.   I t   i s   s afer   t han   u sing   y our   h and.  
13. Do   n ot   o verreach!   K eep   p roper   f ooting   a nd   b alance   a t   a ll   t imes.  
14. Maintain   t ools   w ith   c are;  
Keep   c utting   t ools   s harp   a nd   c lean   f or   b etter   a nd   s afer   p erformance.  
Regularly   c heck   t he   m achine   f or   a ny   w ear   o r   d amage.  
Ensure   t he   m achine   i s   c lean   a nd   f ree   f rom   d ebris   p rior   t o   u se.
