ALWAYS   w ear   a pproved   e ye   p rotectors,   e ar   d efenders   a nd   r ecommended   P PE   a t   A LL   t imes   w hen   o perating   t he   m achine.    
Disconnect   f rom   p ower   s ource   w hen   c hanging   c utters   o r   w orking   o n   t he   m achine.    
Cutters   a nd   s warf   a re   s harp,   A LWAYS   e nsure   t hat   h ands   a re   a dequately   p rotected   w hen   c hanging   c utters   o r   r emoving  
swarf.   U se   a   t ool   o r   b rush   w here   n ecessary   t o   r emove   a ny   s warf   o r   t he   c utter   f rom   t he   a rbor.    
Before   o perating   t he   m achine,   A LWAYS   e nsure   c utter-­‐retaining   s crews   a re   s ecured   t ightly.    
Regularly   c lear   t he   w ork   a rea   a nd   m achine   o f   s warf   a nd   d irt,   p aying   p articular   a ttention   t o   t he   u nderside   o f   t he   m agnet  
base.    
ALWAYS   r emove   t ie,   r ings,   w atches   a nd   a ny   l oose   a dornments   t hat   m ight   e ntangle   w ith   t he   r otating   m achinery   b efore  
operating.    
ALWAYS   e nsure   t hat   l ong   h air   i s   s ecurely   e nclosed   b y   a n   a pproved   r estraint   b efore   o perating   t he   m achine.  
Should   t he   c utter   b ecome   s tuck   i n   t he   w ork   p iece,   s top   t he   m otor   i mmediately   t o   p revent   p ersonal   i njury.     D isconnect  
from   p ower   s ource   a nd   t urn   a rbor   t o   a nd   f ro.     D O   N OT   A TTEMPT   T O   F REE   T HE   C UTTER   B Y   S WITCHING   T HE   M OTOR   O N  
AND   O FF.   W ear   s afety   g loves   t o   r emove   t he   c utter   f rom   t he   a rbor.    
If   t he   m achine   i s   a ccidentally   d ropped,   A LWAYS   t horoughly   e xamine   t he   m achine   f or   s igns   o f   d amage   a nd   c heck   t hat   i t  
functions   c orrectly   B EFORE   r esuming   d rilling.    
Regularly   i nspect   t he   m achine   a nd   c heck   f or   a ny   d amaged   o r   l oose   p arts.      
ALWAYS   e nsure   w hen   u sing   t he   m achine   i n   a n   i nverted   p osition   t hat   o nly   t he   m inimum   a mount   o f   c oolant   i s   u sed   a nd  
that   c are   i s   t aken   t o   e nsure   t hat   c oolant   d oes   n ot   e nter   t he   m otor   u nit.    
Cutting   t ools   m ay   s hatter,   A LWAYS   p osition   t he   g uard   o ver   t he   c utter   b efore   a ctivating   t he   m achine.   F ailure   t o   d o   s o   m ay  
result   i n   p ersonal   i njury.  
  O n   c ompletion   o f   t he   c ut,   a   s lug   w ill   b e   e jected.   D O   N OT   o perate   t he   m achine   a s   t he   e jected   s lug   m ay   c ause   i njury.  
When   n ot   i n   u se   A LWAYS   s tore   t he   m achine   i n   a   s afe   a nd   s ecure   l ocation.  
ALWAYS   e nsure   t hat   a pproved   R OTABROACH™   a gents   c onduct   r epairs.  
 
6)   O PERATING   I NSTRUCTIONS  
 
Keep   t he   i nside   o f   t he   c utter   c lear   o f   s warf.     I t   r estricts   t he   o perating   d epth   o f   t he   c utter.  
Ensure   t hat   t he   c oolant   b ottle   c ontains   s ufficient   c utting   o il   t o   c omplete   t he   r equired   o perating   d uration.   R efill   a s  
required.  
Occasionally   d epress   t he   p ilot   t o   e nsure   c utting   f luid   i s   b eing   c orrectly   m etered.  
To   s tart   t he   m achine   f ollow   t he   c ontrol   p anel   o peration   i nstructions.  
ALWAYS   s witch   o ff   t he   m otor   b y   d epressing   t he   R ED   s top   b utton.     D O   N OT   s witch   o ff   t he   m otor   b y   t urning   t he   m agnet  
switch   t o   z ero.  
Apply   l ight   p ressure   w hen   c ommencing   t he   c ut   o f   a   h ole   u ntil   t he   c utter   i s   i ntroduced   i nto   t he   w ork   s urface.     P ressure   c an  
then   b e   i ncreased   s ufficiently   t o   l oad   t he   m otor.   E xcessive   p ressure   i s   u ndesirable,   i t   d oes   n ot   i ncrease   t he   s peed   o f  
penetration   a nd   w ill   c ause   t he   s afety   o verload   p rotection   d evice   t o   s top   t he   m otor,   ( the   m otor   c an   b e   r estarted   b y  
operating   t he   m otor   s tart   b utton),   a nd   m ay   c ause   e xcessive   h eat   w hich   m ay   r esult   i n   i nconsistent   s lug   e jection  
Always   e nsure   t hat   t he   s lug   h as   b een   e jected   f rom   t he   p revious   h ole   b efore   c ommencing   t o   c ut   t he   n ext.  
If   t he   s lug   s ticks   i n   t he   c utter,   m ove   t he   m achine   t o   a   f lat   s urface,   s witch   o n   t he   m agnet   a nd   g ently   b ring   t he   c utter   d own  
to   m ake   c ontact   w ith   t he   s urface.     T his   w ill   u sually   s traighten   a   c ocked   s lug   a nd   a llow   i t   t o   e ject   n ormally.  
Apply   a   s mall   a mount   o f   l ight   o il   l ubricant   r egularly   t o   t he   s lide   a nd   a rbor   s upport   b earing.  
Cutter   b reakage   i s   u sually   c aused   b y   i nsecure   a nchorage,   a   l oosely   f itting   s lide   o r   a   w orn   b earing   i n   t he   a rbor   s upport.

Only   u se   a pproved   c utting   f luid.   R otabroach   c utting   f luid   h as   b een   s pecially   f ormulated   t o   m aximise   t he   c utters
